Your Room Sized Air Purifier

Your Room Sized Air Purifier

The Scene

You held a big Thanksgiving dinner last night. Your entire family came. So did your fiancŽe’s siblings, mother, and father. You really wanted to impress them all with your cooking skills. Your turkey was golden and juicy. Your potatoes were sublime. Dinner was going perfect. Then it happened-that awful smell! Oh, no. Not again! Stupid dog.

Why all the hype about air purifiers? After all, we only breathe 12-14 times a minute, and air only makes it as far as our lungs except for things like Radon, viruses, and perhaps the occasional smallpox terrorist attack. So who needs an air purifier?

You know that smell comes from your bulldog. The odors that come from that dog could choke a sewer rat. Unfortunately, Fido was sound asleep under your chair. All eyes turned to you. Your fiancŽe’s parents thought you “let one go!” If only you had purchased that air purifier when you had the chance!

Thinking Outside the Box

When you think about air purifiers, you think about dust, pollen, and smoke fumes. Did you ever stop to think about Fido’s awful gas habits? Air purifiers can clear up any smell, even Fido’s! All you needed was one simple appliance-an air purifier! So, why didn’t you buy an air purifier last night?

Fido eats a high protein diet. You understand that high-protein diets can lead to horribly smelly gas. You have been meaning to do something about Fido’s bowel issues. You’ve been thinking about air purifiers for a while, but kept putting it off. Instead, you watch with horror as your future mother-in-law shakes her head and whispers to your future father-in-law. “Why doesn’t he have an air purifier?”

Your mind starts to wander, as you think of all the comments that will follow them home. How can poor Jill want to marry such a foul-smelling man with rude table manners? You want to open your mouth and try to clear your name. As the seconds tick on, it becomes pointless. Jill looks at you and rolls her eyes. She whispers, “I told you. Air purifiers are the answer.”

An air purifier could have saved this moment! Instead, you try to recover by taking the dog out of the room. The smell wafts behind you. For as long as you live, you will never live down this moment. You hear the laughter as you walk out. Perhaps they realize it was the dog after all. Maybe you can save the evening.

Returning to the room, you see Jill has turned on the ceiling fan. She’s also sprayed the room with air freshener. Now, it smells like a fertilized flowerbed. It is not much better. An air purifier would have done a better job. Hoping to ease your embarrassment, you ask if anyone owns an air purifier. A discussion about air purifiers begins.

Choosing the Right Air Purifier

With all of the air purifiers on the market, and with a war of words to win your dollars being waged every day, the best way to select the right one for your situation remains the one that your fifth grade teacher taught you. Do your own homework.

Now that the conversation is on air purifiers, you start taking mental notes. You want an air purifier system that will quickly and efficiently remove Fido’s gas. You would love to have more company over, but man, that dog reeks! Air purifiers are your answer.
Air purifiers are good for all kinds of dust, pollen, mold, and pet dander issues. Those with allergies will attest that an air purifier can make a tremendous difference in their quality of life. You do not often stop to consider that an air purifier can take care of Fido’s gas odors, too! Regardless, first thing tomorrow, Black Friday or not, you are heading to the store and looking at air purifiers!
