Hey everyone! I thought to write a short post covering the signing I’m about to attend, some hot new releases (one I’m SUPER excited about), a couple of sales, and 2 new weekend book recommendations for you because I am on a ROLL this week!  Okay, here goes.

First, I will be attending the Austin Book Fest all day today, so I will be pretty absent from my blog and all my other social media channels. It looks like I’m in excellent company though – check out the author line up!

*squee* I’ll definitely do a recap post of the signing plus a giveaway afterwards so be on the lookout for that!

Are you an audiobook lover? Did you know that there is a program from Amazon called Matchmaker that scans your Kindle library and offers audiobook upgrades at discount prices? All books listed automatically sync ebook pages and audio progress through your devices, so you can switch seamlessly between text and voice whenever you want. That’s neat!
There’s this new book from S. Walden called Interim and I am so, so, SO unbelievably pumped for this one. You wanna know why? This blurb is why:
~A lot can change in the space between devising a plan and carrying it out. That space is called the INTERIM.~

High school seniors Jeremy Stahl and Regan Walters aren’t friends. Not even close. He’s a picked-on, picked-apart loser outcast. She’s a cool kid running with the popular crowd. It’s unlikely they’d ever speak to one another. Too bad he’s madly in love with her. But what does it matter, anyway? He’s got no time for love. Only revenge.

Meticulously detailed in the pages of his battered red notebook is his master plan: April 14, 9:30 A.M., two guns, eighty rounds of ammo, backup knives, eleven victims. He’s finally ready to answer every single taunt, jeer, and flying fist—unwarranted abuse that’s spanned six years of his lonely life. He’s justified. He’s ready. But he never readied himself for her.

Regan finds his journal. She reads it, and when he discovers her intrusion, he has to switch tactics. She’s a liability now.

Better fix that.

Total blurb jolt right?! It’ll be released on April 14 and it’s a book I’m going to read the minute I have it! Preorder your copy!
Were you a fan of Easy Virtue? If so, you’ll be happy to know that the sequel title and tentative release month have been announced and it’s called Sweetest Venom!! Release date: May 2015
  • The Contradiction of Solitude by A. Meredith Walters ($.99) – SURPRISE NEW RELEASE!! This is the one I’m super excited about, and from that creepy/chilling/thrilling blurb, it’s bound to be a crazy read! So looking forward to it! Oh and it’s only $.99 for the next 2 days!
  • When Fall Breaks by Julie Solano & Tracy Justice – another one I’m so curious about! It sounds dark-ish even though it’s a mature YA romance. The heroine is a trusting high school senior who gets tangled up with a rodeo cowboy, and this guy seems to be big on control and gets too possessive. And at this time, her best friend – the hero – steps in to protect her. “Old feelings die, new feelings emerge, and the once beautiful path they had traveled over summer, begins to alter with the season.”
  • For Authentication Purposes by Amber L. Johnson – This one definitely sounds like a fun read! The heroine is a romance author who in real life has zero experience with relationships. The hero reads her bad smut and offers her a deal: “teach the good girl from high school everything she needs to know to write from experience. If he gets to live out a fantasy or two that he’s been harboring for almost a decade, then there’s no harm in that either.” And then feelings get in the way…
  • Missing Pieces by Meredith Tate – omg, blurb jolt!! So I’m not usually drawn to dystopian romances but this one sounds right up my alley (FORBIDDEN ROMANCE ALERT!!!). In the hero and heroine’s society, you are only allowed to love your family and one other person: your best friend and future Partner who you’ll marry. The hero and heroine are best friends wanting to be together but can’t because they’re Partners with other people (!!!). “In a world without freedom, there are still choices to be made. Following their hearts means losing their family, but following the law means losing each other.”
  • Unbreakable by Emma Scott – recent release that also sounds really good and different! The hero and heroine meet because of a bank robbery, where they spend days as hostages…“Alex and Cory take comfort in one another, reveal their deepest hopes and dreams, and forge a bond out of necessity, for survival, but one that unknowingly alters the course of their lives forever.”
  • Rainfall by Melissa Delport ($.99) – I’ve gotten several recommendations for it in the past. It’s a mix of women’s fiction + romance that’s described to me as gut-wrenching and that “I absolutely need to go into the book blind.” <– I have a feeling it’s one of those twisty turny kind of books
  • Halfway to the Grave by Jeaniene Frost ($1.99) – super steamy, action-packed paranormal romance about a half-vampire heroine hunting down vamps and falling in love with one of ’em, specifically a bounty hunter  I really enjoyed it, and it’s a total escapism kind of story (here’s my review).
  • Covert by G.K. Moore ($.99) – mafia romance alert!! The hero is the unwilling heir to a crime family and he’s prepared to leave the life he was groomed into living except “his plans crumble when one girl crash lands in his life. He should hate the daughter of his father’s mistress, but it’s near impossible when he finds that they are alike in more ways than one…In a world where friendship is a luxury and love a death sentence, two unlikely lovers find each other only to be separated by their cruel reality.”
  • Bastian’s Storm by Shay Savage ($.99) – follow up to Surviving Raine (great survival romance)! If you’ve read her Evan Arden series, there’s some overlap with those books too  The only book you have to read before it is Surviving Raine though.
  • Needing Moore series by Julie A. Richman ($.99) – This is a completed second chance romance trilogy where the couple reconnect through Facebook (love that!). “…I’m a keystroke away from asking her the question that’s haunted me for two decades. “Why did you leave me?”
  • The Trouble with Love by Lauren Layne – recent release and my latest TOP recommendation!! This book was so gooood! Perfect amount of comedy, steam, angst, and romance, plus it had a Sex in the City vibe that meshed well with the story. If you’re looking for a new book to escape into and fall in love with, I highly recommend this one (here’s my review)!
  • Becoming Rain by K.A. Tucker – recent release and another TOP recommendation!! This book combined a slow burn romance with a clever, suspenseful plot and had my heart racing! I didn’t exactly go gaga over the first book in this series, but wow, this second one impressed me (here’s my review)!
Well the post turned out to be a little longer than I expected it to be but yeah that’s it for now! I’m off to attend the book signing, and wish you all a fabulous rest of the weekend!
