User Reviews

The Winix PlasmaWave 5300 Air Cleaner has received pretty solid reviews from its customers, with a average rating of 4.5 out of 5 stars. And that is within 52 current customer reviews at the time of writing this.

One reviewer compared this air purifier to a previous purchase, the Surround Air Xj3000 C. And While the Surround air was a disappointment, they had nothing but positive things to say about the Winix. Using it in a 400 sq ft room with three smokers in there smoking for hours, and no leftover smell afterwords. And it worked equally well picking up their cats hair, mentioning that cleaning the pre-filter every 2 to 3 days kept it running 100% effectively.

Several other reviewers followed that up with similar comments, adding in the fact that the unit itself is really quiet. To the point where they never really notice it running unless they physically check on it. With a couple stating that they run it on full blast all the time with no difference in noise level, so there’s no reason not to run it on full.

The only complaint people really seemed to have with the Winix, was the fact that the replacement HEPA filters are on the expensive side. However, the unit itself isn’t as expensive as most lesser purifiers let alone similar ones. And you can normally get it at a cheaper price via amazon.

Overall, based on the customer reviews and our own research the Winix PlasmaWave seems like a great choice if your looking for a powerful air purifier without spending a ton of money unnecessarily.

P.S. Don’t have a Kindle/Kindle account? No worries! Get a free Kindle Reading App, regardless if you have a Kindle! I have an iPad and I mostly read on the app

  • Fisher’s Light by Tara Sivec – CURRENTLY READING & LOVING!! Bringing this new release to the top of my list because I am completely wrapped up in this book, like forget to eat and pee kind of wrapped up. I’m halfway through and it’s a 5 star read for me so far. Emotional, full of feels, just the kind of story that’s sure to break your heart but mend it by the time it’s over. I can’t wait to read more!!
  • Manwhore by Katy Evans – I know a lot of y’all were waiting on this one!! This is the first book in a brand new series from her where a reporter desperate to keep her job agrees to do a piece on the enigmatic billionaire hero but falls in love with him in the process. It’s steamy and scandalous  “What happens when the man they call Saint, makes you want to sin?”
  • Dark Light series by SL Jennings – all the books in her Dark Light series (3 full length novels + 1 novella) together and it’s on sale for $2.99! This is a completed NA paranormal romance series. “And then there’s magic. Freakin’ magic. There’s no way that legend could have a place in her less than exciting life. So why after twenty years of utter obscurity do her adopted parents hit her with the ton of bricks that is her true identity? And how the heck is she supposed to accept all this and become what she was truly created to be?”
  • Awakening You by Jessica Sorensen – 3rd book in her Unraveling You series (YA romance)
  • Falling by Barbara Elsborg – M/M romance! I read the blurb and sounds like both our heroes suffered in the past (one served time in prison for a crime he didn’t commit and the other got out of a bad relationship)
  • Revved by Samantha Towle – bad boy race car drive + mechanic romance!!!
  • Captive by Brighton Walsh – suspenseful NA romance! I liked this one (here’s my review).
  • Never Gonna Tell by Sarah M Ross – this YA romantic suspense read really caught my eye: “My name is Reagan Wilcox: high school senior by day, kick-ass investigative journalist by night. I’ve always loved observing people—especially when they think no one is paying attention. I thought I was ready to cover any story. Work any angle. Nothing could have prepared me for what happened that night. I wasn’t ready for what I saw. And I certainly wasn’t ready for him. I always knew I’d write the headlines. Now, I just might become one.” <– yikes! I’m intrigued!
  • After Dark by M. Pierce
  • Easy With You by Kristen Proby
  • That Time with Sugar by Tess Oliver – This one’s a NA standalone romance about two characters with addiction problems. “All-around bad boy, and twenty-five-year-old heir to the Jameson fortune, Tommy Jameson, knows three things: His family is disappointed in him…Overcoming his addictions won’t necessarily crush his vices…He is wildly in love with Sugar Scarborough, a girl who is dealing with her own addictions and an insatiable need to please.”
  • Flirting with Fire by Kate Meader – firefighter hero!!
  • Takedown by Cari Quinn – second chance military romance!
  • The Record of My Heart by Georgina Guthrie
  • Taking the Fall by W. Ferraro
  • Kulti by Mariana Zapata – sports romance!! “When the man you worshiped as a kid becomes your coach, it’s supposed to be the greatest thing in the world. Keywords: supposed to…she isn’t prepared for this version of [the hero] who shows up to her team’s season…Nothing could have prepared her for the man she got to know…This was going to be the longest season of her life.”
  • One Last Sin by Georgia Cates
  • Doves for Sale by Lila Felix – woah check out this blurb! Sounds intense O_O “Love isn’t crazy. Love isn’t a degree of insanity. Love is sanity at its purest. It forces your soul to make a rational choice—a choice to make another person’s happiness your priority, to allow them access to your heart and soul. Letting Ezra go was choosing to love him. Letting him go was the best way you knew how to choose his joy over your own. I can see it in both of you. This love isn’t one that will go down without a fight.”
  • Fall Out Girl by L. Duarte
  • From Within by JM Walker – another book that grabbed my attention! “We live. We love. We die. He is my ultimate undoing. She is my strength. He will destroy me. She will make me whole. I need him more than the control that he craves. I need her more than I need my next breath. He knows me. She sees me. As much as I want to, I can’t let him in. As much as I’ve tried, I can’t let her go. Together, we need him.” <– whaa?? who is this him? O_O
  • Turtle Bay by Tiffany King – This one’s a YA romance! The heroine and her family move to a small town for a new start, except a few bad choices and a party later, she’s slapped with a harsh community service sentence and is paired to work with the hero, a local lifeguard who immediately dislikes her for trashing the environment he loves. But after working together for a while both start to see past their first assumptions about each other..
  • Hard by Cheryl McIntyre – this book sounds thrilling!! “I have been staring at her for three months. Watching her. Memorizing her. For ninety-two days, I’ve looked into those lifeless green eyes. And for ninety-two days she has inspired me in ways I never knew possible. A muse, unbeknownst to her. Motivating me. Encouraging my darkest desires. I’m a man who knows what he wants. And what I want is the beautiful and broken Holland Howard. My name is Jensen Payne—photographer, autocrat, lecher, Scopophiliac. I am who I am and I will not—cannot—change.”
  • American Savages by JJ McAvoy
  • Getting Dirty by Mia Storm ($.99) – This one’s a kinky, slightly taboo NA romance. “When twenty-five-year-old graduate assistant Caiden Brenner asked Blaire Leon how old she was, she said she was a senior. He chose to believe she meant in college…But it turns out Blaire hasn’t been totally honest. She’s the seventeen-year-old valedictorian of her high school class…Will Caiden get too deeply into Blaire to back away before he finds out the truth? Or will their connection be enough to seduce him into risking his entire future on Jail Bait?”
  • Divergent (#1), Insurgent (#2), and Allegiant (#3) by Veronica Roth are ALL on sale!! I 5 star loved the first book and look forward to continuing this series, especially with the recent release of the Insurgent movie
  • Dissident by Cecilia London ($.99) – described to me as ‘political dystopian intellectual smut.’ LOL!
  • Shopping for a Billionaire full series by Julia Kent ($.99) – this completed romantic comedy series sounds hilarious! “Ever meet a hot billionaire while your hand’s in a toilet in the men’s room of one of his stores? No? So it really is just me. Hmm. When you’re a mystery shopper, you get paid to humiliate yourself, all in the name of improving customer service. Romance isn’t in my job description. But the day I met Declan McCormick it was love at first flush (LOL @ first flush). Until I nearly castrated him with my EpiPen. How Hot Guy and Toilet Girl became an item involves my crazy mom, a trip to the ER, my homicidal cat, my fake wife, and true love. Don’t look at me like that. I’m just doing my job. I’m shopping for a billionaire.”
  • Tyler’s Undoing (#1), Ryley’s Revenge (#2), Paxton’s Promise (#3), and Camden’s Redemption (#4) by LP Dover are all $.99 each! These are MMA fighter romances.
  • Outside the Ropes by Ashley Claudy ($.99) – fighter romance!! Both the hero and heroine are fighters this time  “Regan Sommers spent her life fighting. Fighting foster parents, kids in the group home, and classmates. But the night she has to fight for her life changes everything. Now, she’s fighting for money in the ring, and from the first punch she’s addicted. Every addiction has a price though, and this one is the gym’s star boxer Gage Lawson…”
  • Alarm by Shay Savage ($2.99) – I read this one and really liked it – it’s different from her usual fast-paced, action-packed stories and more of a NA romance where the characters go through a self-discovery process (here’s my review).
  • Ten Below Zero by Whitney Barbetti ($.99) – this one’s on my TBR! The heroine is indifferent and detached from everything and everyone after suffering from scars from an attack she doesn’t remember. “The only emotion I feel with any kind of depth is annoyance, and I feel it often. A text message sent to the wrong number proves to be my undoing. His name is Everett, but I call him rude. He’s pushy, he’s arrogant, he crowds my personal space, and worst of all: he makes me feel.”
  • Rule (#1), Jet (#2), and Rome (#3) by Jay Crownover are on sale! Books 1 and 2 are $.99 each, book 3 is $1.99. If you love NA romances with reformed bad boys, check these out!
  • Afraid to Fall by W. Ferraro ($.99)
  • Decker’s Wood by Kirsty Dallas ($.99) – teehee! Every time I read the blurb for this book it puts a smile on my face. The hero is a porn star and lovin’ every minute of it, and he doesn’t count on the heroine who’s his best friend’s cousin to knock him off his feet. “What will the prince of porn do? The girl or the career?”
  • Cloak & Dagger by Nenia Campbell ($.99) – if you love dark romances this sounds like a good one! The (anti) hero is a ruthless assassin sent to tie up loose ends when a hacker breaks into his organization’s mainframe, but he doesn’t count on being stumped by the heroine who’s the hacker’s daughter!
  • Jake Undone by Penelope Ward ($.99)
  • Fiancee for Hire by Tawna Fenske ($.99) – sounds like a fun one! The hero is on a top secret government mission to complete a covert arms deal in Mexico, but in order to keep up his facade he needs a fiancee, and that’s where the badass vet heroine comes in…“Love wasn’t part of the plan, but the deeper [they] fall into their ruse, the more danger they attract, until more than just their hearts are on the line…”
  • Release Me by J Kenner ($1.99) – 1st book in the Stark trilogy & an erotic, emotionally charged romance “between a powerful man who’s never heard “no” and a fiery woman who says “yes” on her own terms.”
  • Perfect series by Alison Bailey ($.99) – all 3 books in this angsty NA romance series in 1 bundle!
  • Joseph Fallen by MS Willis ($.99) – one of my favorite dark reads to date!! This is the prequel to her Estate series and I recommend reading Madeleine, Abducted first.
  • Bullet (#1), Rock Bottom (#2), and Feverish (#3) by Jade C. Jamison are all $.99 each! These are intense, gritty rockstar romances.
  • Contessa by Lori L. Otto ($.99) – mature YA romance & the first in the Choisie series. “When she was four, a generous couple welcomed orphan Olivia Sophia into their lives. As she grew up, her parents made good decisions for her, raising “Livvy” to be an intelligent and creative young girl. Now sixteen, three people influence many of her choices: her first love, her second father, and a third man who speaks to her through his artwork…”
  • Assumptions by Melanie Codina ($1.99) – sports romance with a heroine who’s a physical therapy assistant and a soccer playing hero.
  • Thin Love (#1) and My Beloved (#1.5) by Eden Butler are $.99 each!! I ADORED these books. They’re angsty, deeply passionate second chance romances that’ll have your heart racing and your attention glued to the pages. Don’t miss this sale! Here’s my review for book 1 and here’s my review for the novella.
  • Chasing Serenity (#1), Behind the Pitch (#1.5), Finding Serenity (#2), and Claiming Serenity (#3) by Eden Butler are also all $.99 each! These are interconnected NA romance standalones.
  • Hate – A Love Story by Laurel Curtis ($.99) – This one’s a standalone! “Roses are red, Violets are blue. Life can be messy, And love can be too. Most people say that it’s not important where you’re going, but instead, how you get there. Unfortunately for me, the journey to love was absolutely agonizing. Love and Hate wrestled with my life day after day, year after year, and the only way to stop it was to let one of them win. Which one? I fought to love harder. But I loathe my love story.”
  • Strictly Temporary 1 ($.99) and Strictly Temporary 2 ($.99) by Ella Fox are both $.99! These books follow the romance between a small town girl with big dreams and high hopes and a city boy disillusioned with relationships.
  • Just One Night by Lauren Layne ($.99) – 3rd book in her Sex, Love, & Stiletto series and a romantic comedy, ‘I’m-in-love-with-my-brother’s-best-friend’ romance. I really adored the 4th book in this series and can’t wait to read this one and the others!
  • Remember When 2 by T. Torrest ($.99) – This is the second book in her wonderfully written, nostalgia-inducing Hollywood romance series filled with fun ’90s references, and is a completed trilogy. I loved these books!
  • Dust to Dust (#1), Wished Away (#2), and His Jar of Hearts (#3) by S.P. Cervantes are on sale! The first book is FREE, the 2nd and 3rd are $.99 each. These are interconnected standalone reads.
  • The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins ($6.49) – $3 price drop! This is a psychological thriller on my TBR. Every day, the heroine takes the same commuter train that stops at this one spot where she sees the same couple out on a deck. “And then she sees something shocking. It’s only a minute until the train moves on, but it’s enough. Now everything’s changed. Unable to keep it to herself, Rachel offers what she knows to the police, and becomes inextricably entwined in what happens next, as well as in the lives of everyone involved. Has she done more harm than good?”
  • Into the Deep by Samantha Young ($.99) – I noticed this is still on sale for $.99. If you haven’t gotten it/haven’t read it yet, I recommend bumping it up on your TBR. This author always combines the right amount of angst, steam, romance, and humor to deliver an addicting read. This book is one of my top favorites!
  • Music of the Heart by Katie Ashley ($.99) – This one’s a NA rockstar romance that I really enjoyed! It’s pretty sweet, and follows the romance about a girl who was supposed to join her brother’s band, but hops onto the wrong tour bus and ends up with the hero’s band teehee! “Can a sweetheart Country songstress and a bad boy of Rock N Roll actually have a future together?”
  • Truth or Dare by Mira Lyn Kelly ($.99) – This is the enemies to lovers one where the hero and heroine are next-door neighbors and their relationship starts off rocky. “He and [the heroine] can’t stop fighting—and that’s just the beginning…the last thing he needs is his neighbor distracting him with her girl-next-door smile and sharp tongue.”
  • Captive by Brighton Walsh – new release and my last read! I liked this one, even though it was so different from what I thought it would be (here’s my review).
  • Little Peach by Peggy Kern – recent release and my latest TOP recommendation!! It’s not a romance of any kind and it’s a realistic fiction meant to bring awareness about prostitution. I believe everyone needs this book (here’s my review).
  • Manwhore by Katy Evans – new release and a steamy first book in a new series from her! Overall I liked this one (here’s my review) and I’m also looking forward to reading the sequel too!
  • Pocketful of Sand by M. Leighton – recent release that I couldn’t wait to read! It sounded like an epic romance, but sadly, it was an epic fail for me (here’s my review). I am in the very, very small minority who didn’t like it though, so give it a try if you were interested before!
  • Wild Reckless by Ginger Scott – recent release and TOP recommendation!!! I absolutely adored this book and it’s the perfect choice if you’re in the mood for a dark, angsty read. One of my favorite YA romances for sure (here’s my review).
  • Confess by Colleen Hoover – recent release! This wasn’t a full winner for me, but it’s a book with a lot of beauty and so much to offer. Not my favorite book of CoHo’s but I’m still a fan nevertheless (here’s my review).
  • The Contradiction of Solitude by A. Meredith Walters <– this book totally messed with my mind! Be warned that this is NOT a romance, just a pure psychological thriller. I didn’t know how to rate it with so many conflicting thoughts (here’s my review).
  • The Trouble with Love by Lauren Layne <– OMG this book!! Another winner for me – 4.5 stars – and it’s a book that’ll make you fall in love with the idea of love. Complete and total escapism and by the time I was done I just had this warm, happy book feeling…(here’s my review) TOP recommendation!!
  • Becoming Rain by K.A. Tucker <– I loved this romantic suspense read!! Clever, suspenseful, and surprisingly there were moments of deep emotion too. Definitely a TOP recommendation (here’s my review)
  • The Deal by Elle Kennedy <– TOP recommendation!! This was seriously one of the best college romances I’ve ever read (here’s my review). Or better yet, don’t read my review. Just DIVE RIGHT IN and experience the whole thing for yourself
  • Before Jamaica Lane by Samantha Young <– an oldie from over a year ago but definitely a goodie! This is a TOP recommendation and it was such a FUN, steamy, and feel-good friends to lovers romance! Definitely will be making my favorites list for this year (here’s my review)
  • Until We Fly by Courtney Cole <– TOP recommendation!! Why did I wait so long to read this one?! Either way, I’m glad I finally read it because this NA romance was gripping, it was unputdownable, and I didn’t want it to end when it did. Highly recommend!! (here’s my review)
  • Shug by Jenny Han <– this was a re-read for me, and one of my favorite YA books!! I’m amazed that after seven years since I last read it, it still affects me and makes an impact. 5 stars and a book I’d recommend to everyone – you, your teenage kids, your friends, etc…(here’s my review)

  • Calling Me Home by Julie Kibler <– TOP recommendation and a 5 star read for me! Just thinking about this book is making my eyes water. I took a chance on this one and I strongly encourage you all to do the same (here’s my review)
  • Sweet Fall by Tillie Cole <– a TOP recommendation!! This NA romance is one of the darkest and emotionally heavy stories I’ve read in a long while, but it was exactly what I was in the mood for. It also made me ugly cry and I’m just blown away by the amount of emotion it evoked….if you’re looking for a standalone romance guaranteed to make you FEEL, try this one! (here’s my review)
  • Dear Emily (#1) and Dear Tabitha (#2) by Trudy Stiles <– TOP recommendation! These books are a blend of realistic women’s fiction with romance and made my heart feel so full…I loved both and being able to read them back to back let me carry my emotions from the first book to the second without delay. BEST kind of reading experience!! Here’s my review for book 1 and here’s my review for book 2. Be sure to read these in order!
  • Extinguish (#1) and Reignite (#2) by JM Darhower <– TOP recommendation!! This 2-book paranormal forbidden romance was unputdownable from the get go and I didn’t want the story to end. I mean, the hero is Lucifer, the Devil! That alone made me pick these up  Here’s my review for book 1 and here’s my review for book 2.
  • Amour Amour by Krista & Becca Ritchie <– I really enjoyed this NA romance! This was so unique (setting is in the circus) and the character development was stunning! It truly embodies every aspect of NA and as always, the authors’ writing style is great. Totally recommend (here’s my review)

  • Clockwork Angel (#1)Clockwork Prince (#2), and Clockwork Princess (#3) by Cassandra Clare are my ultimate TOP recommendations!! I seriously finished this sensational trilogy and had tears dripping down my face, a pile of tissues discarded on the floor, and food wrappers scattered around me. It was SO emotional, SO intense, SO passionate, and SO good. 6 star series for me!! (here’s my series review) These books must be read in order!

“How many times do you gamble on love? When love has knocked you down, should you give it another chance? When does optimism become stupidity?

Oh. You thought I had the answers. No, sorry. No answers, just a lot of questions—and a heart that wants to rule my head.
Can one person be my home?”

HEIDI MCLAUGHLIN NEWS!!A couple months ago, I read this author’s Here With Me and it left me a MESS – the heroine was engaged to one man but after he was announced dead in combat, she gradually moved on and opened her heart to her late fiance’s brother. BUT…turns out her first fiance wasn’t dead after all and now he’s back. I’m really eager to find out what the author has in store for all these characters! Here’s the cover of book 2:

“Two brothers.

One son.

One choice.

Lives ripped apart, shattered and rebuilt.

Evan and Nate Archer: Brothers, best friends, warriors and now enemies. Both in love with the same woman. Both determined to fight for what they want.

Most of all, he can’t understand how his brother ended up engaged to his fiancée. Evan is determined to uncover the mystery, and win back his family.

The Archers are about to fight dirty.”

PEPPER WINTERS NEWS!!
I LOVE this author. Her writing and her dark romances are right up my alley and every book of hers has been a winner for me. Her Indebted series is my latest addiction from her book collection and I’m so excited that she’s announced the release date for Third Debt: April 17!! Not too far away now
“She healed me. She broke me. I set her free. But we are in this together. We will end this together. The rules of this ancient game can’t be broken.”

Nila Weaver no longer recognises herself. She’s left her lover, her courage, and her promise. Two debts down. Too many to go.

Jethro Hawk no longer recognises himself. He’s embraced what he always ran from, and now faces punishment far greater than he feared.

It’s almost time. It’s demanding to be paid.

The Third Debt will be the ultimate test…”

Darkly handsome and oh-so-mysterious, Derio tests Amber’s patience and will at every turn—not to mention her hormones.

LAUREN BLAKELY NEWS!!
I’ll be honest, I haven’t read a book from this author in a few years now but her upcoming one caught my attention right away. Check out the lovely cover and enticing blurb to 21 Stolen Kisses!
“When I first met him I resisted.
Like any forbidden love, I told myself he was a crush, and it would pass.
That was a lie. It never faded.
And I never expected he would fall for me just as hard.
There were so many reasons that should have kept us apart, least of all, the decade that separated us.
Growing up in New York City, I learned early on that love is a double-edged sword.
Love broke up my parents, love took away my friends, and love — the big, intense, never-been-like-this-before love — landed me in therapy.
Now I’m heading to college, and it’s time to give love a clean slate again. But, can I really start over when he’s still in my life?
Because the one man I’ve always wanted, is also the only guy I absolutely can’t have…
And he wants me just as fiercely.

Can I settle for anything less than the love of my life?”

That’s it for this week! Happy reading & 1-clicking everyone
BOOK REVIEW ~ FISHER’S LIGHT BY TARA SIVEC

BOOK REVIEW ~ FISHER’S LIGHT BY TARA SIVEC

Fisher,I guess this is it, huh? After fourteen years together, starting a life of our own on this island, five deployments and countless letters I’ve written you through it all, I finally go out to the mailbox and see something I’ve always dreamed of: an envelope with your handwriting on it. For one moment, I actually thought you’d changed your mind, that all the awful things you said to me were just your way of coping after everything you’d been through. I was still here, Fisher. I was still here, holding my breath, waiting for you to come back even though you told me you never would. You always said you’d find your way back to me. Out of all the lies you’ve told me, this one hurts the most.
Enclosed you will find the signed divorce papers, as requested.I hope you find what you’re looking for. I’m sorry it wasn’t me. Lucy
To get the ending they want, Lucy and Fisher will have to go back to the beginning. Through the good and the bad, they’ll be reminded of why they always made their way back to each other, and why this time, one way or another, it will be the last time.

My first reaction after finishing this book – WOW! And then I curled up in my bed, letting the story just sink in and running scenes through my head that made me smile and cry hard. This book was an epic love story in every way, capturing beautiful highs of a couple so in love with each other, baring the ugly lows when the unexpected blazes through, and their harrowing journey full of heartbreak and hope. While the book wasn’t perfect to me, the romance aspect of it was, and that part just totally won over my heart. I feltFisher’s pain, I felt Lucy’s sorrow, I just…felt. And when I experience that kind of emotion in any book, any nit-picking and boundaries don’t have a say. I just let my heart take over and give the verdict: I love second chance romances, I love this military hero, I love this resilient heroine, and I love this book.

I can never really decide.”
Fisher and Lucy were high school sweethearts. Meeting when she was 16, he was 18; marrying when she was 20, he was 22…it was a fairytale dream come true for the both of them. But one thing that has always given Fisher purpose was his need to serve his country, and so he enlisted and became a Marine with Lucy fully supporting him behind. Throughout the 14 years they were married and through all his deployments, cracks in their marriage started to surface. Add on the severe PTSD and scarce time the two of them actually spend with each other, the once loving couple are a shell of what they were before.
“I couldn’t tell the difference between dreams and reality. I became a different man.
A dangerous man.
A suicidal man.”
With all of his experiences in combat, Fisher didn’t know how to adjust being a civilian again and didn’t know how to convey all the warring emotions in him to Lucy, the one person who he always thought could ground him and keep his demons at bay. And Lucy…this tortured woman was at a loss too – she could only stand by helplessly as she watched her husband sink deeper into a dark nightmare she couldn’t save him from. In the end, 14 years of marriage went down the drain and both have been pushed to a point where divorce and time apart was the only way to go.
But that wasn’t the end for Fisher and Lucy. Over time, Fisher got himself cleaned up and Lucy became a stronger, more independent woman. The actual story the book begins with is Fisher determined to win his beloved wife back again, and as the plot progressed in the present, there are many pivotal past moments weaved in as well. It’s common knowledge that I absolutely despise time gaps and choppy past/present POVs so I was pleasantly surprised when I saw they were done so well here. Each chapter served a purpose and they helped me better understand these characters. Even with his PTSD, Fisher made many terrible mistakes that delivered blow after blow to Lucy’s pride and heart, and having to read those scenes just…gah! They really hurt. But when I got his version of events, it was aching heart time all over again for me. Basically my heart never stopped getting a workout. As for Lucy, she is one of the most idealistic yet resilient heroines I’ve read about. She fought hard for her marriage when Fisher didn’t, she held onto hope when he gave up, and kept fighting all the way to the end. I didn’t see her as a doormat at all, because when she finally saw for her own eyes how useless it was to hold onto hope when Fisher was beyond saving then, she stood up for herself. Not going to lie, I was mentally kicking Fisher in the nuts and hugging Lucy hard here.
“It’s live driving by a car accident and not being able to tear your eyes away from the devastation because you just have to see, you have to know it’s real and that it actually happened.”
But that was the Fisher in the past. The Fisher now hasn’t lost sight of what he truly wants, and that’s Lucy and their life on the island. He also sees that the sweet, timid wife from before has changed. She’s more bold. More confident. But also more reserved. And though she tentatively lets him into her life again, Lucy’s quick to protect her heart this time, even knowing full well that Fisher’s had it all along. And that’s where the true beauty of this story lies, that no matter what tribulations and harsh experiences this couple goes through, love will always prevail.
“How many people get a second chance at love with the only person they’ve ever held in their heart?”
Forget second chances. Third, fourth, fifth…nth number of chances and Fisher and Lucy will always end up together. THAT is how strongly I can feel their depth of devotion and love for each other.
Though this was a 400-page book, it went by so fast I wished there was more. The secondary characters were wonderful and were often a source of comical relief (or extra angst depending on who). I also loved the quaint setting and for me it added a dreamy, romantic feel to the story that can’t be fabricated…it truly felt natural. The writing was seriously top-notch. I haven’t read a book from this author for almost 2 years so I’ve pretty much forgotten what her writing is like (oops!) but reading this book makes me want to revisit all her other books I missed. All in all, this story took me back to a time a few years ago when I was voraciously devouring romance after romance, loving and drowning in a sea of emotion without a care in the world. Not that I don’t do that now, but because my tastes have gotten more cynical and picky, not everything appeals to me anymore. This is one of those rare times an author has delivered a powerful, epic romance which won over that jaded heart of mine, and that’s not something I can ignore. I highly recommend this book to ALL romance fans. Let Fisher and Lucy’s story win over your heart too.
Fisher’s Light is a second chance military romance standalone. It’s not related to this author’s other books.
Rating: 4.5 stars! First half was a solid 5 star read. The second half felt rushed a little but didn’t lessen my enjoyment of the story.
BOOK REVIEW ~ DEEP BLUE ETERNITY BY NATASHA BOYD

BOOK REVIEW ~ DEEP BLUE ETERNITY BY NATASHA BOYD

Livvy is on the run. And she’s escaped to the one place nobody will ever find her.
But the isolated cottage isn’t empty. Her refuge is home to a troubled stranger, Tom, there for reasons of his own.
In the intimacy of the abandoned cottage, and the remote wilderness of the island, the electrifying connection between them is impossible to ignore. Both running from their histories and shielding dark secrets, their pasts catch up with them and collide in an unimaginable way.
Deep emotions and powerful chemistry face a painful battle with the tangle of lies, and scars of the past. When the truth emerges, hearts will be shattered.

“When I was younger I was asked to describe what I thought love was…Blue and infinite, clear but deep, where no man could truly reach. A deep blue eternity.”
I love this author, love Eversea, and love her writing style, but I’m sad to say this book did not work for me at all. The story ended up being so different from what I thought it would be and no matter how hard I tried to connect, I couldn’t feel any kind of chemistry between the main characters, wasn’t a fan of how convoluted the plot got, and didn’t like the choppily-done timeline riddled with past/present POVs.
I’m going to try to keep this as spoiler-free as possible, though if I accidentally say something that you consider a spoiler, sorry! All negative reviews are spoiler-ish in nature.
“…the idea that I could start over and be someone with no past and no expectations was a heady rush. A complete reinvention of who I was. And I’d be safe.”
Olivia is a troubled teenager on the run. For unknown reasons, her home is unsafe and she escapes to an island cottage only known to her and her deceased sister. When she arrives she finds the hero Tom there living in her cottage and also running from his past. With barely any questions asked and even less answers given, Tom and Olivia live together in their little safe haven.
“She had as much right to be here as I did. And so here we were. Co-existing in this painful kind of hell.”
Very early on, it’s revealed how Tom and Olivia are connected and that knowledge alone was enough to make any romance between them forbidden. Add on the age gap and side character interference (Bethany) and I can see why a relationship would be taboo. However, I never once felt any chemistry between the two. The author did such a great job pronouncing their age gap that Olivia looked extremely childish compared to Tom. She was this chick who had sass and an attitude that got old quick and just naturally made her unapproachable and Tom – despite his heartbreaking past and connection to Olivia and her family – was rather bland and had so much potential but was an underdeveloped character.
The story had a quiet intensity to it, and I never really knew what direction it was going in which wasn’t a bad thing. But I wanted the romance to kick in sooner with a lesser focus on side plots, and believe me, there were many. So many hidden layers to this story, so much drama that it drowned out the romance for me.
“…there was no such thing as white lies. All lies were black and destructive. A white lie was truly the blackest of all.”
Another thing I noticed was that when the time came for plot twists and surprise reveals, they were inserted at the most random places, always making me stop and having to read the page twice. Some might find that to be a good thing, but for me it didn’t feel clever at all. Unless they’re done really well, I’m not a fan of stories that drag out secrets along the way because it makes me feel like there’s an essential piece of the story missing, and knowing that makes it impossible for me to connect to these characters. I wish some things revealed in the latter half of the book were told sooner, which would’ve made me warm up to Olivia and Tom – especially Tom – both individually and as a couple.
Lastly, there was a big drama blowout near the end of the book that got on my nerves, not because I thought it wasn’t needed but because of who instigated it – it was a side character who had previously only taken up 2% of the book. It was really out of the blue! Like out of all the people to play the ‘bad guy’ it had to be this person who was rarely mentioned, never developed, and a flimsy character overall. I also didn’t like how the end of the book didn’t wrap up loose ends with Olivia and Tom’s families. They were such a big part of shaping these characters into who they were in present day, so I was really disappointed to not get that closure.
There are many heavy and sensitive themes in the story but all were addressed and done well, so that was a plus. I also loved the soothing setting of the story and the author’s writing, but other than that, the lackluster romance and plot events I didn’t see eye to eye with made this book a big miss for me.
“She was my deep blue eternity. She was young, but her heart was a thousand years old. Mine was too. And a thousand years from now, she’d still be in it.”
Deep Blue Eternity is a suspenseful romance standalone unrelated to this author’s other books.
Rating: 2.5 stars!

BOOK REVIEW ~ HIS ONLY WIFE BY MELISSA BROWN

BOOK REVIEW ~ HIS ONLY WIFE BY MELISSA BROWN

I didn’t think I’d ever want to devote my life to someone. That is, until Brin.
I was twenty-six years old the day she entered my life, just when I’d given up hope, just when I’d given up completely on having any shred of happiness in my pathetic excuse for a life. After years of indecision, self destruction and soul-searching, she found me.
Brinley challenged everything I thought I knew. She proved that goodness could still come from that hellish compound. Goodness, bravery and love. She changed everything the moment she knocked on the door of my apartment, acting as brave as a lion, even though she was shaking like a terrified mouse stuck in my trap.
And now, three years later, I want her as my wife. My only wife. Till death do us part.
Just us.
And I’ve never wanted anything more.

What a sweet and satisfying conclusion to Brin and Porter’s story! Wife Number Seven was one of the most unique and eye-opening romances I’ve read and I’m so glad the author decided to write this short novella giving us just a little bit more of this wonderful couple.
This story takes place three years after the events of Wife Number Seven. Brin and Porter are now together and out of the compound. Occasionally, Porter’s addiction threatens to resurface and Brin’s insecurities and newness to the outside world raises problems but for the most part, their hardships are over. I liked that the story wasn’t just all sugary sweet with no bumps, though I did wish that instead of being told Porter’s addiction recovery I got to read more about it. This is the problem with novellas – I always want more!
Fans of Wife Number Seven will enjoy this final chapter of Brin and Porter’s story!
His Only Wife is the follow up novella to Wife Number Seven and must be read after that book.
Rating: 4 stars!
BLOG TOUR ~ SWEET HOPE BY TILLIE COLE

BLOG TOUR ~ SWEET HOPE BY TILLIE COLE

My name is Ally Prince and I’ve always been unlucky in love. I don’t know why, I just always…have.
When all of my best friends were falling for their soul mates in College, I was left behind. I was Ally, the pretty cousin of superstar quarterback, Romeo Prince. I was Ally, the best friend to the most amazing group of girls I’ve ever known—a title I loved, but one I became tired of ‘just’ being. And I was Ally, the one on which they could all rely.
But to me, I was Ally, the girl with the heart no one had claimed… And I was, Ally, the girl, who underneath it all, was heart-breakingly lonely.
I LOVE love; the thought of it, the nervous excitement of falling for Mr. Right, the desire of someone becoming my entire world… of me becoming theirs. I’ve always wanted passion, heart-stopping, epic, life-changing romance… I’ve always wanted the fairytale… I’ve always wanted it all.
It just never seemed like I would get it.
For the past few years I’ve thrown myself into my career as a museum curator. I’m the best of the best, the person every museum wants to hire, so when an opportunity came up to move to Seattle, I jumped at the chance. My cousin and my best friend lived in Seattle and I needed a change.
I needed a new beginning.
I wasn’t expecting to meet anyone in the Emerald City. I wasn’t expecting to work closely with the reclusive new sculptor my all-important gallery design was centered around. And I certainly wasn’t expecting to fall for him… heart-stopping, epic, life-changing love…
My real life fairytale come true.
But, like in every fairytale, there’s a villain, a dark and tortured soul… I just didn’t know that the villain and the hero in my story would end up being one and the same.

As the curtains closed behind me, I jumped in surprise when I caught movement ahead. My eyes slowly traveled upward to a pair of legs clad in black jeans, to a sculpted waist and torso covered in a short-sleeved black shirt splashed in what looked like marble dust.
My heart was in my throat as I drank in large arm muscles, sculpted and pronounced under heavily tattooed olive skin. My gaze drifted to a muscular tattooed neck, partially covered by a dark short scruffy beard and shoulder-length dark brown hair.
Elpidio…
I had to blink to believe the man I’d wanted to meet for years was really standing right in front of me. I forgot how to breathe. I forgot how to speak, move, or anything else that should come naturally to a human being. Elpidio’s head was down, avoiding my gaze, but I knew he knew I was there. Every inch of his body was taut, as if ready to spring.
My voice failed to work as I watched his broad chest rise and fall. Then, with deliberate slowness, he exhaled harshly through his nostrils and lifted his head.
I nearly staggered back.
He was…dark. There was no other adjective I could think of to do him justice. Dark, aggressively tattooed, and absolutely yet unconventionally…beautiful.
Elpidio was as inspiring to look at as his sculptures, and when his almost-black eyes pierced mine, I released a pent up shuddering breath. I thought my legs would give way as I watched those curious onyx irises rove all over my body. I trembled under his scrutiny, knees weak, heart fluttering.
Italian, I thought. Austin had been right. Elpidio definitely looked Italian.
It felt as though minutes passed in silence as we stood motionless, not knowing what to say.
Trying to salvage a modicum of professionalism, I snapped out of my stupor and stepped forward, timidly holding out my hand.
“Hello…” I said in a cracking voice.
Elpidio’s stern gaze never once drifted from mine, his dark eyes stabbing. “I’m Aliyana. You…you must be Elpidio?”
In a second, I witnessed paleness spread on his cheeks and his eyes dropped to the ground, his shoulder-length brown hair falling to cover his face. He was protecting his anonymity. Vin had told me how uncomfortable he was with any acclaim or recognition. His mentor clearly wasn’t lying.
“It’s okay,” I rushed out. “I’m the curator of your exhibition. Your being here stays with me. I’m ethically bound to protect your anonymity if you so wish.”
Elpidio’s shoulders seemed to relax some at that, and sighing reluctantly, he raked back his long hair from his face and raised his head.
This time I could see him more clearly. He was ruggedly edgy, and on his left cheek, he wore a tattoo of a black crucifix just below his eye. He simply screamed danger. His eyes were unnervingly assessing as though he had no trust in me, or toward anyone else for that matter.
Suddenly, Elpidio reached forward and encased his hand in mine. When our hands touched, I lightly gasped, the heat of his palm searing. I’d forgotten I’d been holding my hand out to greet him, too entranced by his
unrefined looks and silent temperament.
“Aliyana,” he said gruffly. My heart skipped a beat on hearing his husky drawl.
One of my favorite books from last year was book 3 in this series Sweet Fall and though I was completely happy with that book, a few plot events that happened there made me see that a certain side character was practically screaming for a book, so I’m ecstatic that the author decided to write this one. But before I say anything else I have to stress that this book is not meant to be read as a standalone. You must read at least Sweet Fall beforehand. Now back to Sweet Hope…
I liked this book. It’s a passionate romance story that made my heart pound and had a sweet and loving heroine and a tormented, mysterious hero. Add that with this author’s great writing and the wonderful cast of side characters from previous books it really made this story shine. Along the way, I did take note of little things that were bothersome but at that point, it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the book much. In hindsight, I should’ve realized that all of these little things would accumulate and once I actually hit something I really didn’t like (which happened in the 2nd half of the book), they would become major problems for me because that’s what ended up happening.
The book started off strong – I love character-driven stories and this was definitely one of them. The heroine Ally Prince is a woman with ambitious career goals and she’s determined to curate an art display for the artist she’s long admired – the hero Elpidio. Even though she’s in love with his work, she’s even more intrigued with the man behind it. Quick observation here: it’s probably just me, but it was a little disturbing to read just how obsessed she was when she never met the guy prior to the exhibit. But in the end, I let that one slide because I can see why she was so fascinated – whenever Elpidio entered the scene, everything just got intense and I couldn’t help but be drawn to this man who was so tormented and could only communicate his emotions through his magnificent sculptures.
I think what made this book for me was Elpidio. Ally was a perfectly likable heroine and complemented his dark personality with her light, bubbly one, but I’m a sucker for ‘fallen angel’ characters and that’s exactly who Elpidio was. He’s made really, really bad choices in his past that he now regrets and has gone through so much it’s a wonder the man is still alive and kicking. But deep down, he’s just a guy who wanted nothing more than to protect his family and loved ones, and if playing dirty would keep them safe, he’d do it in a heartbeat.
The romance here definitely felt instantaneous to me, but I loved it anyways because the author wrote it in a way there were no doubts that Ally and Elpidio were each other’s soul mates. However, some events and plot devices happened soon that I wasn’t a fan of, and dragged down my rating:
The timeline was all over the place. While I didn’t have trouble keeping track where the story was at a certain point, I didn’t like the multiple time jumps. Combine that with the occasional flashback scene and I got annoyed by the time I was near the end of the book. This issue isn’t something I’m complaining about just for this book – just like some readers can’t stand cheating, I can’t stand time gaps, especially not ones where chapters in the story started off with ‘a few weeks later,’ ‘a year later,’ ‘fifteen years later,’ etc…Bottom line is, I like continuity in my stories.
Major character stupidity. Okay…this is the main problem I had with Elpidio and other side characters in the second half of the book. To avoid plot spoilers, I won’t list out the exact details but the root of the problem is miscommunication that drove a wedge between these characters and of course, running away is the first solution which leads to even more drama. This was in the final quarter of the book and at this point I kept thinking to myself haven’t these people gone through enough already?! Just get on with the romance!
From book 3 I already had a soft spot for the Carillo brothers (especially Austin), and seeing them in here at one crucial scene near the end made me cry. The epilogue was also one of the most beautiful book endings I’ve read and really wrapped up this story along with the entire series.
As for my rating, I wavered between 3.5 and 4 because I seriously adored this hero but wasn’t a fan of how the author executed the story from the halfway mark and on. In the end, I’m going with 3.5 stars as I did like it and would still recommend it but it didn’t leave an as memorable impression on me like Sweet Fall did.
Sweet Hope is the final book in the Sweet Home series. You must read Sweet Fall first as the plot and characters are closely connected.

  • The Virgin by Tiffany Reisz – AHHH so excited!! The Original Sinners series is literally my #1 favorite series of all time and has ruined me for all other erotica books. I’m currently reading and loving this one!!
  • This Heart of Mine by Brenda Novak – another book I’m absolutely dying to get to and sounds like an intense second chance romance. The heroine had a rough childhood and never thought much of herself, so she felt like the luckiest girl in the world when the most popular guy in her high school became her boyfriend. She didn’t expect their breakup though, and she didn’t expect to get pregnant. Most of all, she didn’t expect to be blamed for running down the girl her ex started dating (!!!!) Now after serving time in prison, she’s back in town just wanting to know her son and of course her paths cross with her high school ex again…
  • Deep by Kylie Scott – final rockstar romance in this series!
  • The Shadows by JR Ward
  • Where Sea Meets Sky by Karina Halle
  • Fall With Me by Jennifer L. Armentrout – can’t wait to read this one too! I loved the first two books in this NA romance series.
  • Savage by Jade C. Jamison – a zombie book with a second chance romance within. The heroine never got over her high school sweetheart. Just as she thought she was free of the emotional anguish of the past few years, the country is hit with a deadly virus leaving a plague of undead armies (!!!). When she attempts to get away from the infected, she almost kills this guy on a bike and realizes it’s the man from her past she never got over. “But this unrequited love says he doesn’t even remember her. Or does he? Nina, Kevin, and her neighbors head to the wilderness and fight to survive not only the plague but also hunger, cold, their inner demons…and even each other.”
  • Sail by M. Mabie – extreme angst alert!! This is book 2 in the Wake series.
  • Nobody’s Dream by Kallypso Masters
  • The Slayer by Kele Moon
  • The Closer You Come by Gena Showalter – bad boy & good girl romance! He just got out of prison and she’s a southern belle
  • Love After All by Jaci Burton
  • Broken by Cynthia Eden – romantic suspense! The hero protects the last surviving victim of a serial killer.
  • Jake Understood by Penelope Ward – two roommates fall in love with each other!! If you’ve read Jake Undone, this book is the hero’s POV of the story with some new content. “It was a mismatch made in heaven: innocent girl from the boonies moves in with tattooed, pierced, badboy engineer.”
  • Total Surrender by Rebecca Zanetti
  • Sea of Stars by Amy A. Bartol
  • Spark by Jessica Sorensen and Spark X by Jessica Sorensen. They’re the same book but Spark X contains sexual content.
  • A Perfect Ten by Linda Kage
  • Crash & Burn by Abigail Roux – final book in this suspenseful M/M romance series!
  • 10 Years Later by J. Sterling ($.99) – I’m interested in this second chance romance! The hero & heroine meet up again at their high school reunion (aww!).
  • Sweet Hope by Tillie Cole – final book in her Sweet Home series about a tortured artist who’s been through a lot, and the kindhearted curator who helps him heal. I had some issues with it but overall, I liked it (here’s my review).
  • Breathe Me In by Erin McCarthy – this one sounds really good! The heroine has had a tough childhood living through foster homes, and in present day is struggling to keep her 1-year old son alive. She breaks into a store stealing baby food which is how she meets the hero who’s the cop on duty that day. “[He] doesn’t want to bust the pierced and sexy woman stealing at the grocery but neither does he want to help her or believe her sob story…But it turns out the sob story is real and in the murky world of black market babies, [the heroine] and her son are in danger, and [he] can’t walk away from the mysterious and broken woman he has come to love…”
  • His Only Wife by Melissa Brown ($.99) – short novella concluding the story told from Wife Number Seven, one of my top favorite books from last year. I really enjoyed it (here’s my review).
  • TwiSted TWo-SteP by Julia Bramer
  • His Proposed Deal by Sandi Lynn – steamy romance standalone! “Three months. It was only for three months…His proposed deal was that I had to pose as his fiancée until his twenty-sixth birthday so he could collect his trust fund. I’d help him and, in return, he’d help me achieve my dream. It was a win-win situation, right? WRONG. Love was never part of the deal and neither was the secret that Max could never find out about.”
  • Legacy by Lime Craven
  • Fisher’s Light by Tara Sivec – my latest TOP recommendation!! This second chance military romance brought out all the feels and made me cry. It just really reminded me why I love reading so much and is an epic love story (here’s my review)!
  • Rekindle by Ashley Suzanne – second chance romance! The heroine and hero were once happily married but when his best friend died on duty, the hero fell apart which led to their marriage disintegrating. Even after their divorce they still have to work closely with each other because of their jobs…“The tension between Nick and Tina can only lead them in one of two directions: straight into each other’s arms or even further apart.”
  • Deep Blue Eternity by Natasha Boyd – I was so looking forward to reading this! Sadly, I wasn’t a big fan of this book. It was just missing the special spark I like my book couples to have and to be honest, just had too much going on to even be considered as a romance story (here’s my review). I’m in the minority though so give it a try if you were interested!
  • Shadows & Lies by Eden Butler – I can’t wait to read this one!! I love the author’s writing. “One lie can change your life. A web of lies can destroy it. Neil Ryan was a good Navy SEAL. He was an even better detective, but when an unmarked envelope lands on his desk, long-buried secrets are resurrected and Ryan questions everything he thought he knew about justice, including who killed his mother. Alex Black is a distraction Ryan doesn’t need…Alex is also the only one able to help Ryan find the leads he’s missing…Secrets get told, lives get wrecked and in every shadow, the truth is hiding.”
  • Rome by Jay Crownover ($.89) – 89 CENTS!! Weird pricing but I’m not complaining  And Rule (#1) and Jet (#2) are still on sale for $.99! If you love a reformed bad boy and NA romances, this is a great series to read.
  • All Lined Up (#1) and All Broke Down (#2) by Cora Carmack got price drops! First one’s $1.99, second one’s $.99 but the important thing is to to GET THESE!! They’re pure NA romance gold – sweet with steam, lots of awkward fun, and easy to relate to. I loved them! Here’s my review for book 1 and here’s my review for book 2.
  • Burying Water by KA Tucker ($1.99) – Normally $7.99, this is the first book in her NA romantic suspense series about a girl who has amnesia and the boy next door who knows the truth about her. It’s a standalone!
  • Last Will & Testament by Dahlia Adler ($.99) – one of my favorite NA romances from last year!! The heroine’s parents died in a car accident, leaving her as the guardian of her 2 younger brothers. As a result she has to clean up her act and focus on her grades, leading her straight to the TA hero. It’s a really witty and heartwarming read (here’s my review).
  • Until You Find Me by Amber Hart ($.99) – this sounds really good! The heroine travels to Africa searching for answers about her family’s past and falls in love with one of the hunters in the jungle!!
  • Turtle Bay by Tiffany King ($.99) – sounds like a sweet YA romance! The heroine and her family move to a small town for a new start, except a few bad choices and a party later, she’s slapped with a harsh community service sentence and is paired to work with the hero, a local lifeguard who immediately dislikes her for trashing the environment he loves. But after working together for a while both start to see past their first assumptions about each other…
  • Sweet Home (#1), Sweet Rome (#2), and Sweet Fall (#3) by Tillie Cole are all $.99 each! I read and LOVED book 3 and it was one of my top favorites from last year (here’s my review).
  • Unspeakable Truths by Alice Montalvo-Tribue ($.99) – This one’s a love after loss romance standalone! “Four years ago, my life was everything I wanted it to be: I had everything I wanted, everything I needed, in my best friend and newly wedded husband—Tyler. Yet, hours after we said “I do,” I lost him…And now, four years later, my life still feels like a hopeless eternity. I guess it’s quite fitting that the last person I want to hear from is currently standing at my front door. He wants to tell me the truth about that night, he wants to be my new knight in shining armor, but the thing is…He was the best man…”
  • Searching for Someday (#1) and Searching for Perfect (#2) by Jennifer Probst are both $1.99 each! These are romantic comedy standalones that revolve around a matchmaking business.
  • Disclosure series by RE Hunter ($.99) – student/teacher themed romance! “Secrets and lies spiral out of control as they struggle with their forbidden love. When everything comes undone, can the damage be unbroken?”
  • Bait by M. Mabie ($.99) – the sequel just released too! See above section.

  • Matched by SE Hall & Angela Graham ($.99) – This one’s a romantic comedy standalone where 8 men and 8 women find love while on a reality show. Eight men, eight women, one mansion in paradise; their every move caught on camera for the world to see. Among the faces in the house: a mysterious cowboy, a cocky football star, a motocross god, and a broody Alpha calling all the shots. Thorough compatibility testing says everyone’s soulmate is there. Computers’ abilities are boundless, but can they be trusted with matters of the heart?”
  • Bound by Honor by Cora Reilly ($.99) – mafia romance!!
  • Sustain by Tijan ($.99) –  “…when SWAT raided my boyfriend’s home, that was the last straw. The boyfriend got tossed and to help me keep busy, my brother talked me into joining their old band again…It wasn’t a hard sell. Playing drums was in my blood. I used to be addicted and that craving hadn’t been satisfied in three long years. The only problem was their lead singer. It was HIM. The drums might not have been the only thing I was addicted to. I think I was still addicted to him too.”
  • The Year We Fell Down by Sarina Bowen ($.99) – NA romance standalone! The heroine is a hockey player who got in an accident and instead of starting college as a varsity player, sits in a wheelchair. Right across from her in her dorm, is another handicapped hockey star, and a friendship forms…“They’re just friends, of course, until one night when things fall apart. Or fall together…”
  • Bride in Bloom by JB Hartnett ($.99) – The heroine and hero were once happy together, getting married and ready to live out the rest of their lives as a couple. But both are betrayed by each other in the worst of ways too. This is their second chance romance after the happily-ever-after…
  • Sweet Hope by Tillie Cole – new release and the final book in the Sweet Home series. While I liked it, it wasn’t my favorite book from this author. Just a tad bit too cheesy for me, but it was a solid read and I’m sure fans of this series will find a winner with this one (here’s my review).

I’m in the minority though so give it a try if you were interested!

  • Captive by Brighton Walsh – NA romantic suspense read! I liked this one, even though it was so different from what I thought it would be (here’s my review).
  • Little Peach by Peggy Kern – TOP recommendation!! It’s not a romance of any kind and it’s a realistic fiction read meant to bring awareness about prostitution. I believe everyone needs to read this book (here’s my review).

  • Sweet Fall by Tillie Cole <– a TOP recommendation!! This NA romance is one of the darkest and emotionally heavy stories I’ve read in a long while, but it was exactly what I was in the mood for.
