It’s that time of the month again!! I host a follower appreciation giveaway at the end of each month as an extra thank you to every Book Vigilante Reviews follower. Every comment, like, share, email, book recommendation, etc… I all love and appreciate and it’s just so great to be able to chat with like-minded readers about books! So anyways for this giveaway, one winner will receive a paperback of choice from the list provided.

How do I decide what goes on the list? Well, it is a compilation of all the books I’ve read, reviewed, and blogged about each month – it doesn’t matter if I loved the book or disliked the book. The only ones not listed are the few books I may have started and then not finished.

**Note: Some book titles do not have paperback options available. In the event you choose that book, I will gift you an ebook copy instead. If a book hasn’t been released yet, paperback or ebook copy will be delivered on release date.**

I am a HUGE fan of Cassie’s and all her books I’ve read have gone straight to my favorites list. If you didn’t know, book 1 in her fantastically written Mortal Instruments series was made into a movie and just recently it was announced that the books would actually be going from film franchise to TV series and it’ll be a part of the ABC Family channel! As much as I loved the movie, I’m also pretty excited to see how the books will translate on screen via TV series!
“Constantin Film will produce, and Ed Decter (Helix, Unforgettable, The Client List) is on board to serve as showrunner and executive producer. The drama is being eyed as a 13 episode drama with a premiere date not yet determined; casting is expected to be announced at a later date. Production will begin in May in Toronto.”
Yesterday I got sent a heads up on an intriguing student/teacher romance from A.E. Murphy called Distraction. Here’s the cover + blurb:
“Isaac Price is a hard working teacher, forced to move back to the town he hates in order to help his father as his mother’s mind spirals from reality, devoured by Alzheimers.
Eloise Blackburn is a good student, struggling to get her life back on course after a year where she lost control of everything.
Both are desperately trying to escape, he from small town life and she from an overbearing and controlling father. In each other they find a kindred spirit and form a bond that slowly blossoms into love.
But in a world where everyone is quick to judge the outcome, yet never questions the journey, it doesn’t matter that she’s of age. It doesn’t matter that they never intended for it to happen. All that matters is that they broke a taboo – a love between a teacher and a student twelve years his junior.
Unable to walk away from each other, do they dare to risk it all?
Forget labels. Forget rules. This is just a journey of two people who fall.”
You can preorder a copy here. It’ll be released on April 11!
About a month ago I read and ADORED The Deal. It was seriously one of the most addicting, entertaining, and FUN NA romances I’ve ever read so needless to say, I’m super excited to read more from this series. Just yesterday, Elle has revealed the full blurb for book 2 in this series titled The Mistake, and it’s side character Logan’s book (best friend of the hero from The Deal).
“He’s a player in more ways than one…
College junior John Logan can get any girl he wants. For this hockey star, life is a parade of parties and hook-ups, but behind his killer grins and easygoing charm, he hides growing despair about the dead-end road he’ll be forced to walk after graduation. A sexy encounter with freshman Grace Ivers is just the distraction he needs, but when a thoughtless mistake pushes her away, Logan plans to spend his final year proving to her that he’s worth a second chance.
Now he’s going to need to up his game…
After a less than stellar freshman year, Grace is back at Briar University, older, wiser, and so over the arrogant hockey player she nearly handed her V-card to. She’s not a charity case, and she’s not the quiet butterfly she was when they first hooked up. If Logan expects her to roll over and beg like all his other puck bunnies, he can think again. He wants her back? He’ll have to work for it. This time around, she’ll be the one in the driver’s seat…and she plans on driving him wild.”
I’ll keep y’all updated about the cover, release date, etc…
